Where do I begin....

We made it into Mexico Friday afternoon and were at the clinic by 2:30. Even though I was scheduled to have surgery Saturday morning - they showed Rich and I to a room. The hospital was so clean - I know everyone says that, but when you see it/smell it - it just jumps out at you. They gave me a gown and brought in the IV. I have very rolly, deep veins so I always get stuck several times. Magda hit it on the first try.

Next thing I knew I was laying on my side on the OR table and Dr. Moreno was telling me to hold the back of my knees. They gave me the meds, and I nodded right off. I don't remember the epi going in. Rich was brought into the OR at this time. He has told me how precise Dr Moreno was in the epi process. How close Dr Moreno monitored me during the surgery. Rich also told me just how precise Levi was in unpacking the equipment and drapes and setting up for Dr Perez.

Dr. Perez - well Rich says he moved with extreme precision and grace, no wasted movements. He removed a lot of scar tissue - from my previous 3 c-sections or "operacion cesarea". Rich watched as Dr Perez cleaned my tubes and stitched them back together. He also watched - Dr Perez made it a point to show him how he inserted saline - to show my tubes were clear. He explained everything he was doing to my husband. Dr. Perez told Rich - the ball is now in your court.

I was back in my room by 5. Tonya P - from the Blessed Arrows group went in to the OR then - she was also scheduled for Saturday AM - but got there Friday night. Then Laura M went next - and she was also scheduled for Sat AM. Levi said later he was glad we showed up when we did. They had several C- sections scheduled for Saturday too. They were both as thrilled with Dr Perez and Levi as I am.

They gave me antibiotics and pain meds to bring home. We had no trouble going or coming across the border. And the directions from this website were perfect.

The only thing I wish I had done different - taken my adjustable sandals. If anyone else has a tendency to swell - they pumped me so full of IV fluids and my feet swelled up 3-4 sizes - so we had to go by Wal-Mart in Pharr to pick me up some shoes.

I am normally a big worrier, but I was totally at peace with going to Mexico and using Dr Perez. I wish I lived closer to the border. I would use Dr Perez to deliver. Just pray for God's wisdom and discernment. When you feel that peace, you'll know...

In His Hands,

Ronda & Rich Jones
