May 2005 Just wanted to let everyone know that I am back from the surgery. My husband and I flew into Harlingen on Wednesday, May 25th,2005. We got in about 1030 am. We meet Fanny and went right to the hospital. As soon as we got there we were prepped for surgery and in we went, about 12:00. I had a little difficulty breathing during the surgery but nothing that affected the surgery itself. The procedure was about an hour and 20 minutes. Then back to the room we went. I was given pain meds every eight hours along with antibiotics. I felt so tired and sore when it was time to shower but that is to be expected. We were able to go into town for a couple of hours, but that was a lot for me still. The staff was very kind and attentive and for that we are grateful. I have 6cm's on each side. My husband and I have a lot to plan for before we work on baby number two but now we have one less step to plan for when that time comes.
