Mar 2009 September 2008 I am just writing to say that I am pregnant!!!! I divorced shortly after the surgery, I am remarried to a wonderful man, and God has seen fit to bless us with a child!! We are so excited and we are due May 10th!! This is actually our 2nd pregnancy since the surgery. We miscarried twins June 30th. But everything looks good this time and we are hopeful!! I will update when we know more!! I just want to thank the doctors and god for this opportunity. It would not be possible without them!! August 2006
My surgery was Saturday July 29th. I am sitting here writing this 9
days post op and feeling great. I still can't believe it really
happened. It took 4 years and lots of prayers to get to this point,
but now that it is over, I am so relieved and feeling positive about
the future. I know that part of my decision making process about
whether to go to Mexico or not involved the reading of so many of
the testimonies on this site. So, I hope that someone will read this
one and feel better about going to Mexico for their surgery.
I can't remember much about the surgery, I had to be put completely
to sleep, so that part of it I cant help with. I didn't see the
cross everyone talks about, but then I wasn't really looking for it
either. I was pretty nervous when I got to the OR, but the
anesthesiologist was there, he told me not to worry, that he would
give me something to help with my fear. I was told to turn onto my
side, and that is all I remember. The next thing I knew I was waking
up on the table when they were getting ready to transport me back to
my room. I had mild pain as the epidural started to wear off.
And, the nurses were right there with IV meds to alleviate any
discomfort. I also want to mention that they got the IV in on
the second stick, which is in itself a real accomplishment. I am a
very difficult stick and usually have to sit through 5 or 6 attempts
before they get it. |
