Sept 2006

My name is Debra Romero and my Fiancé is Wesley Campa. I am 39 years old and I have 4 daughters from a previous marriage. I had my TL over 12yrs ago and since my fiancé does not have any children I really wanted to try and have a tubal reversal so we could have a baby together. We looked around at different places here in the states and the price was so high. I looked further on the Internet and accidentally found the web sight for Dr. Perez. I read up on Dr. Perez and the more I read the more I felt comfortable wanting to go to Mexico. When I told Wesley he was very spectacle about going to Mexico. I had him get on line and after reading all your testimonies from all the patients it made him more comfortable.

We flew into Harlingen, TX and the shuttle was there to pick us up. They were very nice and answered questions we had about our stay. When we got to the hospital they were pretty busy but they took us to room #7 and made us very comfortable. They came in and said they would be doing the surgery that night even though we were not scheduled till the following day. The nurse came in and put in my IV and I was very nervous. Dr. Levi came in and asked if we had any questions. He was very nice and spoke good English. I was so nervous that I don't think I knew what to ask.

Later that evening they came for me in a wheelchair and took me into the surgery room. The first thing I looked for was the cross above the door and said a little prayer. I got up on the bed and they asked me to lay on my side. They put some medicine in my IV that made me relaxed and I don't remember if the epidural hurt or not. I stayed awake most of the surgery and I could hear them talking. When I heard Dr. Perez say that the tubes were burnt all the way to the end on the right side and on the left there was about 2.5cm left I wanted to cry. Wesley was with me the whole time and he just kept telling me that everything was OK and he loved me. They kept asking me if I was OK.

After the surgery they took us back to the room and it felt weird because I could not feel my legs at all. Dr. Levi came in and talked to me and explained what they found. The Dr. who did my TL burnt my right tube to the end and only left 2.5cm on the left side. They repaired the left side and now all we can do is pray that we are able to conceive a child. Early that morning when the numbness went away I felt pain but the nurse came in and gave me some medicine and the pain went away. Dr. Levi came in and checked on me first thing in the morning. We talked a little and he was very comforting and was able to answer the questions we had. We went to a hotel in Mexico and it was great. Our plane didn't leave till Sunday so we had that evening and the whole next day to rest and to walk thru town. The shuttle driver told us about some really good places to eat and it was great.

On Sunday the shuttle driver picked us up and took us to the airport. I was just a little sore but didn't need a wheel chair at the airport. I walked a little slower but managed well. Now I am at home and it is a week later and I am back at work. I have a desk job so I don't have to do a lot of walking or lifting or turning of any kind. I feel great and am looking forward to going in a few weeks to get an HSG test done.

Everyone at the hospital was wonderful. We cant tell you enough how welcome and how comfortable they made us feel. We just want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for everything they did for us while we were there. I am just asking for every ones prayers that we may be able to have a wonderful healthy baby soon.

I thank the Lord above for helping us find Dr. Perez and Dr. Levi. If you are having any doubts about going to Mexico, DON'T it was the best thing we could have done.

Debbie & Wesley
