August 2008

Hello Everyone!  I just wanted to update you that i had a positive pregnancy test on July 23, 2008.  My doctor  states that I am about four weeks along.  I will keep you posted.  Thanks again Dr. Perez and Dr. Levi for everything you have done, without you none of this would have been possible.

God Bless You.

August 2008

We live in Louisiana. On February 16, 2008 we left out from New Orleans airport and flew into McAllen , Texas for our surgery on February 18, 2008. The shuttle driver picked us up from the hotel in McAllen, Texas and took us to Rio Bravo , Mexico for our surgery. It was kind of scary for me and my husband because neither of us have ever been out of the United States.  We did not know what to expect but thanks to the shuttle driver he eased out minds and reassured us everything was going to be fine.

When we arrived at the hospital it was very much like the pictures - small but very clean.  The nurse came in and she explained to me that she was prepping me for surgery.  Dr. Levi came in and talked to me and my husband about the procedure.  Later that afternoon, I was off to surgery.  My husband and I were both happy that he could join me during my surgery.

The doctors came in and gave me anesthesia.  My doctor started performing surgery and when my husband seen him cut me he almost passed out, but it was funny because the doctor was asking "hey are you alright?"  to my husband.  And i said yes.  Dr. Levi gave my husband "the smelling salts" to hold under his nose to smell but my crazy husband stuck both of them up his nostrils.  The doctors started laughing and told him no to just smell them.
Dr. Levi and Dr. Perez finished my surgery and the doctors stated that I had 6cm on both sides.  Dr. Perez said my tubes were cut, tied, and burned.  After surgery they took me back to my room.  Later that night Dr. Levi came in and talked to me and my husband about what he had done, he said I have a very good chance of getting pregnant but, he could not guarantee it.

The next morning Dr. Levi released me and I was on my way back to McAllen to my hotel room. I left out of McAllen on February 21, 2008 and headed home.

I would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Roberto Perez and Dr.Levi for everything they have done.  Last but not least I would like to thank all of the staff at the hospital for being so polite and friendly.
