The "journey" and my first time in Mexico was worth every minute and penny. My husband and I just found out that I am 4 weeks pregnant after about 9 months of prayer and trying!

Thank you EVERYONE at the Rio Bravo Hospital De Las Americas.

Surgery March 19, 2008. Hello! My name is Janelle Mock and my family and I live in Council Bluffs, IA. I married the perfect man for me (named Godwill) in July 7,2007. He married me even though I had four children and my tubes were tied. He had no kids. My decision to have the tubal ligation was a very hard one. I was 28 yrs old. When I married Godwill, we talked about the options of having more children. Most of the options were too expensive. I knew of a few places in the US that did reversals, so we started saving.

I came across Dr. Perez by the amazing hints or signs God gives us. I work in an inbound call center and one of my customers who called was telling me about her search for a tubal reversal Dr. She told me of Dr. Perez and about a month later e-mailed me the link to the website. I never met this woman or heard from her after that, but she led me here.  My husband and I did our research and decided on Rio Bravo for the surgery.

Our "journey" began by having our flights canceled and having to drive to McAllen, TX from Kansas City, MO at the last minute. We drove from 4:00pm to around 9:30am. The hotel that had my reservation would not cancel because I didn't call before four even though our delay was weather related. We found a hotel and about five minutes after checking in, the shuttle driver was there to pick me up. My husband could not go with me because he is from Africa and did not have the proper documentation for travel out of the US, Godwill stayed at the hotel.  So, I went alone. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The shuttle driver showed me to my room and let me know that he would be back to take me to TX after I recovered. He left and I felt lonely for about five minutes, then a nurse came in with a gown. She told me to change and that I could watch TV. I don't speak Spanish, but I understood (for some reason) everything the nurses said. After I changed I dosed off and the Dr. came in with a specialist to check to see if I was healthy enough for surgery because I am over 200 lbs. I got the all clear and Dr Jose said I could have the surgery at 1:00pm!   The came to get me, prepared me for the epidural, and I was out. I woke up, and they were already half way done with my surgery! I was cold and couldn't move, but the anesthesiologist and Dr. Jose were extremely supporting and comforting.

When they were done, they brought me back to the room where a nurse per shift stayed with me.  That night I had them remove my epidural cath because I don't like staying numb. I finally got to sleep! The next morning they removed my cath and Dr. Levi came in to talk to me after breakfast. He and Dr. Jose are very down to earth and easy to talk to. Dr. Levi told me that my tubes are 4-5cm on both sides. I was discharged at around 8:45am after a shower. I got back to the hotel at around 9:30am to a worried husband.
