Aug 2009

I had my reversal done on April 24, 2009 and I am just posting to update about what is happening since the reversal. On 7/26/09 I found out that myself and my husband are expecting, the due date is 03/24/10. I am very pleased with the work of the doctors and I want to say Thank You for giving me and my husband our blessing and may god continue to bless you and your staff in all your great works. Thanks so much.

May 2009

My name is Tonya Parker and my surgery date was April 24, 2009. My journey to Texas and then to Mexico for the surgery was very exciting and a much needed short vacation for myself and my husband, we were so excited to finally be on our way for the thought of potentially starting a new family in the near future. I have two children of my own that are young adults and my husband has one son that is in the teenage stage, so we both sat down and talked about starting a new family, at first of course there are the doubts about if this procedure is going to be successful, can we save enough for the procedure and how long will it take, considering we had other obligations, but knowing that we both care for each other and this was something that we both wanted, I started the process to find the best and the most affordable doctor available.

I did not know what to expect when I came across the Rio Bravo website, but my feelings were telling me that this was the doctor I should try, since I had came across this website so many times before, it seemed to just stick with me. My experience at the hospital was enjoyable, the nurses were so kind and made sure I was comfortable and warm. I met with Dr. Diaz first and we spoke a little about my medical history background and he was very thorough and straight to the point and with most doctors you really don't get the straight truth they tend to beat around the bush a little bit, but he was very accurate in what he said and made sure I understood what was going on and what was going to happen.

Everything went according to schedule, my surgery was for 7:00 p.m., I was prepped, my husband put on his scrubs and looked very handsome and then we were led to the operating room. My husband took pictures of the whole procedure and I was glad he was able to be there with me through the whole thing. The doctor stated we do have to wait for two months to start conceiving and we are not trying to jeopardize anything, because I have waited 19 years to have another baby and those two months will be like icing on the cake.

I will recommend the Rio Bravo Reversals web-site to anybody and tell them to be there on judge, do research before suggesting any type of doctor, but my experience with this hospital was joyful.

The weather was gorgeous and you could not have ask for a better place to have the surgery.
