June 2011

I had been looking for quite awhile places to go to, until one day I ran across Dr. Perez’s site! =) I finally called about 2 weeks before my surgery and made plans to go to Rio Bravo. The night before I stayed in McAllen , Texas and called Armin to let him know I was there, a day early...so he came and picked me up we went thru the border, which seemed like it was quite fast, maybe 15 minutes or so.

Once I arrived at the Hospital De Las Americas, I did some paperwork and got into my gown, the nurse came in to start my I.V., and then they took me back to surgery room, I was quite nervous and even cried but of excitement!  But the doc’s were really understanding and next thing I knew they were putting me to sleep! I woke up towards the end, didn’t feel anything, then went back to sleep. Finally after surgery, I was in my little room, I don’t remember much but paying my fee’s and a creepy spider on the wall....then the next day I was ready to get up and take a shower, and get back to Texas,

The first night back in Texas was a little rough I got a bit of the shakes and a fever, so I went to the Emergency Room in McAllen, just to find out it was normal due to surgery and the '’air’ or ‘gas’ used in surgery. So 2 days after surgery I was finally ready to get on the bus and head back home to Washington state, a 3 day trip! And I felt great! It has been 2 months since my surgery, I will keep you updated with any changes! Thanks & God bless you all!!!

P.S. The food they give you at the hospital in Mexico is delicious!!!! & wonderful staff!

Anna
